A new addition to the family

About a month ago, my husband phoned me at worked and said excitedly "a friend of mine will sell me a 1965 Mustang for 3K below blue book. Can I buy it?".
I replied "Uhh, no.".
A week later he asked "I really want to buy that car. ok?".
I said "no".
Two weeks later same thing.
Last week it made its grand entrance into our garage. Sigh. I did get a car stall full of hubbie's junk cleaned out, at least. Or did I?!

I am the one that wanted a convertible around here. No WAY would my husband let me get a classic, though. He did get me a Chrysler Sebring two years ago. I do dearly love my little 'vertible.
When you have figured out how to knit a car cozy, send me the pattern.

I LOVE the car. I would feel like a teenager again if I rode in one. But that isn't the point, is it? At least your husband was straight up about wanting a car. I've got two good friends whose spouses are into flying and airplanes, and those guys come up with some very creative rationale for their requests ("think how much we'll save on vacation!"). My husband's tool habit is nothing by comparison.

Great addition to the family! My husband has a 1966 Mustang hard top (a family car originally owned by his uncle, he's had it since he was 16), and we have great fun going to car shows and riding in it on the weekends. Hope you're enjoying yours, too!
